Job summary

Conifer Health Solutions is seeking a Patient Access Supervisor to guide a team through daily tasks and ensure accurate financial clearance and patient flow. Working location is Piedmont Healthcare with various shift information and on-call requirements.

The role emphasizes mentoring staff, coordinating admissions and scheduling, ED processes, and maintaining high customer service while aligning with hospital policies and KPIs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• College degree preferred.
• 4+ years experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred.
• 5+ years experience in Patient Access preferred.
• 2+ years in supervisory or lead role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mentor new hires and support staff in daily tasks and issue escalation.
• Assist in short- and long-range planning for Registration Process areas (Admitting, Centralized Scheduling, Emergency Department, clinics).
• Maintain positive customer service and help staff resolve issues.
• Enforce department policies and develop new policies per hospital guidelines.
• Monitor daily activity and prepare performance/metric reports; assist with special projects.
• Perform all Patient Access functions as needed.
• Support management to ensure operational goals are met.
