Job summary

Stanford Health Care in Palo Alto is seeking an Application Analyst to learn and apply functional and technical revenue cycle and access system expertise. You will configure, test, and support Epic modules and non-Epic systems to improve patient financial experience.

The Clinical Systems Analyst I supports core application functions, implementing, administering, and supporting assigned systems under guidance. A basic understanding of Epic modules and health system operations is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in IT, CS, Business Admin, Management Systems, Electronics Tech, Computer Engineering, Health Information Management or related field from an accredited college/university.
• Must obtain Epic certification in relevant module(s) within 6 months of employment date.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier-2 support of application incidents reported through the help desk
• Perform daily monitoring of applications in production use
• Coordinate application support with Infrastructure, Integration, Reporting, and help desk teams
• Assist in implementing low complexity tools and workflows
• Assist in upgrading applicable software or enhancements to existing workflows
• Assist in testing for new implementations, enhancements or upgrades
• Modify tables/master files under direction of senior team members
• Implement changes using documented procedures compliant with policies
• Maintain meeting records and participate in team meetings
• Provide ongoing troubleshooting, support, and maintenance; 24/7 on-call as required
• Take ownership of low complexity issues and liaise between customer and support staff
