Job summary

Stanford Health Care in Palo Alto, CA seeks an Application Analyst to apply functional and systems expertise in value-based care, configuring, testing, and supporting solutions that enhance quality and reduce costs. The role requires understanding Epic payer and population health modules (Tapestry, Healthy Planet, Compass Rose, VBPM) and experience with non-Epic systems such as Stanson and Cotiviti.

Hybrid schedule with on-site work at SHC facilities is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
2+ years of progressively responsible experience in a similar role is required.
Experience with Epic modules and supporting health IT systems is essential.

Responsibilities

Provide tier-2 support for application incidents with on-call coverage as required.
Assist junior staff with incident resolution, maintenance tasks, and enhancements.
Monitor applications in production and coordinate with IT teams (Infrastructure, Reporting, Help Desk).
Lead small to medium software upgrade initiatives or workflow enhancements including design, build, and test phases.
Modify configuration items under guidance of senior staff and ensure changes follow procedures.
