• Two years of patient financial services, patient access, or registration experience.
• Two years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates registration & scheduling; maintains knowledge of third party payor requirements.
• Coordinates and supervises access processing for verification, notification and pre-certification to minimize denials.
• Provides daily staff supervision for prompt, courteous service to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
• Monitors operations to ensure adherence to policies and procedures; assists in policy upkeep.
• Coordinates registration/scheduling with other departments and outside sources to ensure continuity of care.
• Interviews and screens potential employees and aids in filling vacancies.
• Ensures training of new employees and identifies ongoing education needs.
• Handles complaints and investigates for resolution.
• Monitors staff performance for efficient high-quality service.
• Completes performance evaluations; participates in employee reviews.
• Implements WVUH Corrective Action steps as needed.
• Manages staffing schedules including leave time; maintains operational knowledge.
• Keeps staff informed through meetings and communications.
• Assists staff in coordinating financial services prior to visits.
• Communicates workflow hindrances to Manager/Director.
• Organizes daily tasks for productivity and efficiency.
• Assists with annual budget process.
• Maintains 95% registration accuracy per audit.
