Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside seeks a Supervisor of Patient Access Services in the Admitting Department for full-time evening shifts. You will oversee frontline Patient Access staff across assigned service areas, ensuring accurate patient registration, insurance verification, and timely financial clearance while delivering a positive patient experience.

Reporting to the Manager of Patient Access Services, you will monitor staff performance, provide coaching, handle escalations, and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Experience in Patient Access or front-end revenue cycle in healthcare.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership or team lead experience preferred.
• Experience with EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access activities for accurate registration and documentation.
• Monitor staff productivity and provide real-time coaching.
• Escalate issues to the Manager as appropriate.
• Assist with staffing and coverage.
• Ensure compliance with payer requirements and HIPAA.
• Maintain knowledge of registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance workflows.
