Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside seeks a Supervisor, Patient Access Services for the Emergency Department (Evenings, Full-Time). You will oversee frontline Patient Access staff, ensuring accurate registration, insurance capture, and financial clearance while delivering a positive patient experience.

You will report to the Manager of Patient Access Services, supervise staff, coach on AIDET, ensure HIPAA compliance, and collaborate with clinical units to resolve access-related issues across Mount Sinai

Qualifications

• Experience in Patient Access, registration, or front-end revenue cycle operations within a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Working knowledge of insurance verification and financial clearance processes.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and function effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access activities to ensure timely and accurate registration, insurance capture, and documentation.
• Monitor staff productivity and quality performance; provide real-time feedback and coaching.
• Escalate operational issues, system concerns, or workflow barriers to the Manager as appropriate.
• Assist with staffing assignments and coverage to ensure adequate departmental support.
• Reinforce compliance with payer requirements, regulatory standards, and organizational policies.
• Maintain working knowledge of registration processes, insurance verification, and financial clearance workflows.
• Support compliance with HIPAA privacy and security standards.
• Ensure adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
