Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside seeks a Supervisor, Patient Access Services in the Admitting Department for full-time evenings. You will oversee daily registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance while ensuring a positive patient experience.

Under the Manager's guidance, you will supervise frontline staff, coach performance, and collaborate with clinical units to resolve issues in real time. Supervisory or lead experience in a unionized healthcare setting is preferred; EPIC experience

Qualifications

• Experience in Patient Access or hospital registration.
• Strong knowledge of insurance verification and financial clearance processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access activities to ensure timely and accurate registration and insurance capture.
• Monitor staff productivity and quality, providing real-time feedback and coaching.
• Escalate issues to the Manager and support staffing assignments for adequate coverage.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA, payer requirements, and organizational policies.
• Supervise frontline representatives and support onboarding and training.
