Mount Sinai Morningside seeks a Supervisor, Patient Access Services for the Emergency Department at Mount Sinai South Nassau. This full-time day role oversees frontline Patient Access staff, ensuring accurate registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance to deliver a positive patient experience.

Reporting to the Manager of Patient Access Services, you will coach staff, monitor performance, and coordinate with clinical units to resolve issues while maintaining regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Experience in Patient Access, registration, or front-end revenue cycle within a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
• Basic leadership or team lead experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access activities to ensure timely and accurate registration, insurance capture, and documentation.
• Monitor staff productivity and quality performance; provide real-time feedback and coaching.
• Escalate operational issues, system concerns, or workflow barriers to the Manager as appropriate.
• Assist with staffing assignments and coverage to ensure adequate departmental support.
• Reinforce compliance with payer requirements, regulatory standards, and organizational policies.
• Maintain working knowledge of registration processes, insurance verification, and financial clearance workflows.
• Support HIPAA privacy and security standards compliance.
• Ensure adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.
