Job summary

Conifer Health Solutions is seeking a staff mentor at Delray Medical Center to guide and develop Patient Access teams. The role focuses on daily supervision, training, and proper handling of accounts, with responsibilities across Admitting, Centralized Scheduling, Emergency Department and clinics.

You will be part of the management team to ensure the group meets operational goals, monitor performance metrics, resolve issues, and enforce department policies while maintaining positive customer

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; college degree preferred.
• 4+ years experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area.
• 5+ years experience in Patient Access; 2+ years in supervisory role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily support/mentoring/training to new hires and existing staff; assists with escalated issues.
• Assists in planning for short and long range needs for Registration Process areas (Admitting, Centralized Scheduling, ED, clinics).
• Maintains positive customer service and helps staff resolve issues.
• Enforces department policies and participates in developing new policies per guidelines.
• Monitors daily activity and prepares performance/metric reports; may lead special projects.
• Performs all Patient Access functions as needed.
• Acts on management team to ensure group meets operational goals.
