The role reports to the Manager of Patient Access Services and requires experience in hospital access, strong customer service, and basic leadership. Collaboration with clinical units is essential to resolve access-related issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in Patient Access or front-end revenue cycle in a hospital setting.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and financial clearance processes.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Basic leadership or team lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access activities to ensure timely and accurate registration, insurance capture, and documentation.
• Monitor staff productivity and quality performance; provide real-time feedback and coaching.
• Escalate issues to the Manager as appropriate and assist with coverage.
• Assist with staffing assignments to ensure adequate departmental support.
• Reinforce compliance with payer requirements, regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Maintain knowledge of registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance workflows; ensure HIPAA compliance.
