Job summary

Women’s Care PC in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL is seeking a Patient Access Representative. The role greets patients, collects demographics, updates profiles, scans IDs, and verifies insurance to ensure accurate registration and scheduling.

You will collect payments or assist with billing questions, set up payment plans as needed, answer a high volume of calls and emails, schedule follow ups, and maintain HIPAA-compliant records and a tidy front desk.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional customer service experience and a positive patient experience.
• Strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
• Preferred experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet all patients and visitors promptly with a welcoming demeanor.
• Collect demographics, update patient profiles, and verify insurance for registration.
• Scan insurance cards/IDs and enter data into the EMR system (HIPAA compliance).
• Collect payments or assist billing questions; explain payment options and plans.
• Answer high volume calls and patient emails; schedule and reschedule appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with online registration; ensure checkout in eCW.
• Maintain lobby area clean and presentable; uphold HIPAA rules and privacy.
• Back up verification of insurance information as needed.
