Job summary

Women’s Care PC is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first face and voice of the practice. You will greet patients, verify demographics, and support registration, scheduling, and billing with HIPAA compliance at the forefront.

The role requires superb customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced medical office, including experience with EMR systems such as eCW.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional customer service experience and a true desire to help others.
• Strong organizational skills.

• Basic computer literacy; ability to learn software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Greet all patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous manner.
• Obtain and confirm patient demographics; update profiles per policy.
• Collect payment and assist with billing concerns while ensuring timely collection.
• Scan insurance cards, IDs, and pertinent information into the EMR (HIPAA).
• Set up payment plans for patients unable to pay balances.
• Answer a high volume of calls and respond to patient emails promptly.
• Confirm all unconfirmed appointments for the next business day.
• Monitor the lobby and keep patients informed of delays.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments; verify insurance eligibility.
• Ensure all appointments are checked out in the EMR at day end.
