Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year customer service experience preferred; ICD-9/CPT-4 knowledge preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred; training may be experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient computer skills and data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Registration: efficiently registers patients per policy to support throughput.
• Data entry: accurate demographic and financial information for revenue.
• Insurance verification and precertification checks per payor rules.
• Documentation: collect signatures and maintain compliance records.
• Cash handling: assist with patient estimates and payments as needed.
