Job summary

Tanner-Health-1 is seeking a patient intake professional to support a high-quality, efficient onboarding process. Responsibilities include pre-registration, insurance verification, precertification, and documentation completion across multiple facility locations.

The role involves registration, POS collections, and work-output review, with duties spanning call center, patient-facing, and bedside activities within PAS operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent public relations skills with a pleasant professional demeanor.
• Effective communication with co-workers, hospital staff, patients, families and third party payers.
• Ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment.
• One year of customer service experience preferred.
• ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Able to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to follow operating procedures and manage time for smooth patient flow.
• Proficient use of computer equipment.
• Reading and writing with legible handwriting and good spelling.
• Flexibility to work hours/days including shifts as needed.
• Some college coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates quality and efficient patient intake process through pre-registration, registration, insurance, precertification verification, document completion, POS collections, and work output review.
• Work assignment includes multiple locations within the facility or system, performing tasks in PAS operations across call center, patient-facing, and bedside roles.
