Tanner Health seeks a patient intake professional to facilitate registration, insurance verification, precertification, and related tasks across facility locations. You will support call center, patient-facing, and bedside flows, ensuring smooth patient throughput and accurate documentation.

The role requires exceptional communication, empathy, and the ability to work under pressure in a busy healthcare setting. High School diploma or GED is required, with some college coursework preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent public relations skills and a pleasant demeanor when interacting with the public.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, hospital staff, patients, families and payers.
• Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment and handle stress.
• Prior customer service experience; knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding is preferred.
• Proficient use of computer equipment and accurate reading/writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates quality and efficient patient intake processes including registration and insurance verification.
• Handles precertification verification, document completion and POS collections.
• Reviews work output and coordinates across multiple locations within the facility or system.
• Performs call center, patient-facing, and bedside tasks as part of PAS operations.
