Inova Primary Leesburg is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Specialist for a full-time role, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm in Leesburg, VA. You will admit/schedule patients, perform insurance verifications, and provide financial counseling, aligning with Inova Health System's Service Excellence standards.

Qualifications

Education: High School or GED.
Experience: 1 year of patient access experience.

Responsibilities

Confirm authorizations, validate and index documents.
Prepare schedules, track records, and navigate multiple systems.
Coordinate documentation and follow up on case-related tasks.
Assess coverage and initiate financial assistance.
Apply payer-specific rules, resolve issues, and identify contract limitations.
Resolve moderate patient concerns and track follow-ups with patients.
Educate patients on kiosks and report usage trends.
Coordinate with departments, tailor messaging, and manage referrals.
Schedule specialty visits and coordinate preparation.
Coordinate special-needs transport.
Resolve minor HIM chart issues and assist ROI.
