Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience.
• Experience with computer systems including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Responsibilities

• Answers, screens and processes a high volume of calls in a professional manner. Uses phone scripts to triage calls and determine appointment type, provider and urgency.
• Utilizes scheduling systems to book appointments; updates demographic information and verifies referrals and payer information.
• Informs patients of necessary preparation for scheduled visits and required documents.
• Coordinates data sets for scheduling of visits and tests to maximize staff and space efficiency; resolves scheduling issues with a manager.
• Records and forwards accurate messages to providers and staff; triages urgent information requests within scope.
