In this role, you will handle initial calls, schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments, and coordinate with the clinical team while maintaining confidentiality and delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• 6 months of office, call center, or healthcare experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and Microsoft Office.
• Previous call center or healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to problem-solve and multi-task; maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of scheduling parameters, insurance concepts, and patient registration software.
• Knowledge of VMMC system and providers to efficiently schedule appointments.
• Team player with a positive attitude and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Handle initial phone contact with patients and families to provide scheduling and operational support.
• Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments by assessing callers' needs.
• Communicate effectively with the clinical care team on behalf of patients.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide excellent customer service throughout all interactions.
• Adapt to varying call volumes and issues while adhering to service standards.
