Presbyterian Healthcare Services is hiring a Patient Access Advocate I to perform primary patient registration, verify demographics and insurance, and collect point‑of‑service liabilities. You will ensure accuracy for clean billing and provide wayfinding and exceptional service at the point of service.

The role requires basic insurance knowledge, healthcare experience, and EPIC proficiency, with a 12‑hour night shift in Isleta. Competitive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months in healthcare or 1 year customer service.
• Pass 2 week Patient Access Academy with 85%+ within 6 months.
• CHAA or CHAM certification preferred.
• Basic insurance understanding and medical terminology knowledge.
• EPIC proficiency test with 85% score.

Responsabilités

• Register patients and collect demographic and insurance data.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; document actions in system.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and available assistance.
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with policies.
• Provide high-quality customer service and resolve issues promptly.
