Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Patient Access Advocate I to perform primary registration for self-pay, government and commercial accounts at the time of service for scheduled and unscheduled visits.

Responsibilities include collecting demographics, verifying insurance, and documenting registration in the ADT system, while guiding patients on financial matters and providing excellent service using CARES and AIDET principles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 6 months healthcare experience or 1 year customer service background preferred.
• Basic understanding of insurance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for self-pay, government and commercial accounts at time of service.
• Verify and obtain missing demographic and insurance information.
• Explain financial responsibilities to patients and inform them of insurance benefits.
• Maintain accurate records in the ADT system and ensure compliance with regulations.
