Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Patient Access Advocate (PRESNow) to perform patient registrations at the point of service for self-pay, government and commercial accounts.

You will verify demographics, confirm insurance details, collect liabilities, and ensure accurate billing with ADT systems, while delivering compassionate customer service using CARES, AIDET and EPE tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months healthcare setting or 1 year customer service preferred.
• Pass 2-week Patient Access Academy with 85%+ within 6 months of start.
• CHAA/CHAM or equivalent certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of insurance and medical terminology/billing codes.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify demographics and insurance at the point of service.
• Provide exceptional patient experience using CARES, AIDET and EPE tools.
• Educate patients on insurance benefits and liabilities; explain charges when applicable.
• Ensure accounts are financially cleared at time of service and assist with wayfinding.
