Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is hiring a Patient Access Advocate I to handle primary registration of patient accounts at the time of service for scheduled and unscheduled visits. Responsibilities include updating demographics, verifying insurance, and collecting point-of-service liabilities in the ADT system.

The role requires basic CMS knowledge and compliance with regulatory guidelines, delivering top-tier patient service and helping patients and families with wayfinding during their visit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of healthcare experience or 1 year of customer service background preferred.
• Pass a 2-week Patient Access Academy with 85%+ within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Register patient accounts at time of service for self-pay, government and commercial plans.
• Verify insurance benefits and collect patient liabilities while ensuring accurate registration information.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist with wayfinding for patients and visitors.
• Maintain compliance with CMS guidelines and internal policies during registration.
