Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking a Patient Access Representative to provide patient services and administrative support in ancillary operations. You will interact with parents, patients, physicians and staff under supervision, verifying demographics and assisting with scheduling and registrations across departments.

The role requires a High School diploma, 2 years of related experience, basic computer skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualificações

• Broad knowledge of administrative processes and customer service.
• Computer proficiency with basic office software.
• Microsoft Word and Excel experience preferred.
• Complete Patient Access training and pass competency assessments.
• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule and register patients accurately in the department scheduling system.
• Verify demographic and insurance information for accuracy and completeness.
• Obtain required consents and distribute compliance materials.
• Assist with cash collection and patient billing processes.
• Provide courteous front-desk and telephone support to patients and families.
