Job summary

Ensemble is seeking a Patient Access Specialist for an onsite role at Mercy - The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. The position is full-time on the 3rd shift, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include patient pre-registration, insurance data collection, and POS cash collection while ensuring compassionate customer service. Minimum education is a High School Diploma with 1+ year of customer service experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• CRCR certification within 6 months of hire (company-paid).

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate MRNs and perform medical necessity/compliance checks.
• Collect insurance information and process physician orders.
• Operate an overlay tool and provide excellent customer service measured by Press Ganey.
• Handle telephone switchboard for internal and external calls.
• Explain consent and distribute patient education documents.
• Review insurance eligibility responses and support POS/billing processes.
