Job summary

Hanger Clinic is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to ensure a seamless patient experience at our Mooresville location. You will manage front desk operations, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and schedule follow-up visits for prosthetic care services.

The role emphasizes strong communication, computer proficiency, and the ability to handle diverse patient needs in a healthcare setting. Prior front desk experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a receptionist role or medical front office preferred.
• Customer service or administrative experience preferred (<1 year).
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at the front desk; provide wait-time information and answer inquiries.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance at check-in; manage registrations.
• Process patient payments (deductibles, copays, coinsurance) at the front desk.
• Schedule follow-up appointments including cast/measure delivery and prosthetic care plans.
• Serve as a liaison for patient experience programs and resources.
• Coordinate with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain necessary patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
