Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage essential front–office duties in our clinic. You will greet patients, collect payments, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and process referrals and authorizations to ensure a smooth intake experience.

You will interact with patients in person and by phone, maintaining accurate records and assisting with demographic data capture, eligibility checks, and non-clinical charges in the electronic medical

Qualifications

• One year of customer service work experience.
• Two years of customer service experience preferred, with healthcare or Call Center background.

Responsibilities

• Registers and checks patients in/out and handles front-desk duties.
• Collects co-pays and payments; reconciles cash and balances end-of-day cash drawer.
• Performs insurance eligibility checks and verifies demographics and referrals.
• Schedules appointments and coordinates referrals and pre-authorizations.
• Maintains accurate patient records in the electronic medical record system.
