Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM is hiring a Patient Access Advocate I to register patient accounts, verify insurance, and collect at the point of service for scheduled and unscheduled visits. You will ensure accurate data in the ADT system and assist with patient wayfinding.

This PRN role requires basic Medicare knowledge, EPIC proficiency, and strong customer service skills to support patients during registration and billing interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CHAA/CHAM preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or strong customer service background.
• Basic understanding of insurance terminology and billing codes.

Responsibilities

• Register patient accounts and verify insurance details at time of service.
• Educate patients on benefits, liabilities, and out-of-pocket costs.
• Ensure accounts are financially cleared and documented in ADT system.
• Provide exceptional customer service and de-escalate when needed.
• Navigate patients and visitors with clear directions and support.
