Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Patient Access Advocate I at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on primary registration of patient accounts for self-pay, government and commercial accounts on date of service for scheduled and unscheduled visits.

You will perform registration tasks, update demographics, verify insurance, collect liabilities and document registration details to support accurate billing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months healthcare experience or 1 year customer service.
• Pass Patient Access Academy with 85%+ within 6 months of start.
• CHAA, CHAM or other industry certification preferred
• Basic understanding of insurance, medical terminology and billing codes.
• EPIC proficiency test with 85% score.

Responsabilités

• Register patients and collect/verify demographics and financial information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Educate patients on insurance benefits and financial responsibilities.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and ensure clean billing.
• Provide CARES-based customer service and de-escalate issues as needed.
