Job summary

Riverside Healthcare seeks a Patient Access Associate in Illinois to manage patient registration, data accuracy, and insurance verification. You will deliver compassionate customer service, determine eligibility, and guide patients through the hospital’s financial process.

The role requires high school diploma, attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with payer rules and HIPAA is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to collect and verify demographic, insurance, and clinical data.
• Knowledge of EMTALA, HIPAA, payer requirements, and registration standards.
• Strong English communication; bilingual skills preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and manage data accurately across systems.
• Provide courteous, standards-based customer service and patient escort when needed.
• Assist with scheduling, call coverage, and maintaining department supplies.
• Ensure compliance with EMTALA, HIPAA, payer requirements and registrations.
• Attend department meetings and training; support transportation and document collection as needed.
