Qualifications

• Experience with EKG tracings and medical terminology preferred.
• Computer literacy required.
• Prior experience in office or clerical roles preferred.
• Knowledge of payer regulatory compliance and HIPAA Privacy and Security preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to perform general arithmetic.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy and problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographic, insurance, and clinical data accurately.
• Obtain signatures for registration and billing.
• Screen for payer requirements and pre-certification.
• Verify third-party eligibility and benefits for accurate payment.
• Greet patients using scripting per AIDET; interact courteously in person and by phone.
• Direct or escort patients to appropriate locations; monitor waiting times.
• Assist with training and coverage for call-offs; stock and maintain the work area.
