Job summary

The Patient Services Associate (PSA) II at Jefferson Health enhances the patient experience by courteously processing arrival and departure activities for visits to the practice/department. It also involves obtaining pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations, and verifying insurance, referrals and patient demographics to support the Jefferson Experience and efficient patient flow to examination rooms.

This part-time role requires availability Mondays through Fridays between 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate courteously with patients and visitors.
• Ability to multi task while managing a time-sensitive workload.

Responsibilities

• Process check-in and check-out, and schedule appointments via EPIC.
• Obtain pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures.
• Maintain efficient flow of practice and escalate patient or provider concerns as appropriate.
• Greet and interact with patients/visitors in a professional manner.
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements and regulatory standards.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.
