Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist for our Cartersville, GA location. The role involves greeting patients, verifying demographics and insurance, and completing walk-in registrations while ensuring accuracy and patient-friendly service.

Hours are 40 per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. Base pay aligns with regional market rates and benefits include PTO and health coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; patient access or scheduling experience preferred.
• Understanding of insurance verification, billing, and pre-certification processes.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out processes.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information for accuracy.
• Complete registration for walk-in patients and update demographic data as needed.
• Explain financial responsibilities and collect payments or balance due.
• Assist patients in obtaining financial clearance and refer to Financial Counselor when needed.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and provide necessary documents to patients.
