Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; patient access, scheduling, registration, and financial clearance experience preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance verification, billing, and pre-authorization processes is beneficial.
• Strong data entry accuracy and knowledge of healthcare terminology are important.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage flow to ensure efficient, courteous service.
• Verify demographic and insurance information for accuracy.
• Complete registration for walk-ins and update patient data as needed.
• Explain and collect patient financial responsibility and assist with financial clearance.
• Direct patients to Financial Counselor when financial assistance is needed.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and manage patient checkout and documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer requirements.
