BJC HealthCare seeks a Patient Access Representative to serve as the initial point of contact for patients entering our facilities in the St. Louis area. You will verify demographics and insurance, assist with registration and scheduling, and communicate financial responsibilities at the point of service.

The role emphasizes professionalism, empathy, and accuracy across multiple systems, supporting HIPAA compliance and accurate MPI records in a PRN schedule with occasional weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• CHAA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients with professionalism and compassion.
• Verify demographics and insurance, schedule and register patients in systems.
• Explain financial responsibilities and collect applicable payments at the point of service.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate MPI patient records.
