Job summary

St. Louis Children's Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join our call-center team focused on scheduling therapy appointments across multiple locations. The role requires professionalism, empathy, and accuracy in patient data collection and insurance verification.

You will work a 9:00 AM–5:30 PM schedule, Monday through Friday, at the BJC Commons location, contributing to high-quality patient experiences and efficient onboarding into our care system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• <2 years of experience required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and schedule within multiple BJC systems; verify insurance and collect payments.
• Explain and enforce HIPAA and other regulatory requirements; guide patients through financial responsibilities.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to provide preparation instructions for procedures and tests.
• Adhere to safety and compliance standards as a healthcare worker.
