BJC HealthCare is seeking a PRN Patient Access Representative I to support hospital admissions and scheduling across multiple systems. You will verify demographics, insurance, and eligibility, and collect patient payments at point of service while providing compassionate service.

The role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of HIPAA and Medicare guidelines, and the ability to select the correct Master Patient Index.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No Experience required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• <2 years experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Register patients for hospital admissions and scheduling within multiple BJC systems.
• Verify demographics and insurance information; ensure correct MPI entry.
• Explain financial responsibilities and collect applicable patient payments at point of service.
• Understand and enforce Medicare/Medicaid guidelines and HIPAA requirements.
• Maintain accurate patient records and avoid denials through precise data entry.
