BJC HealthCare is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet patients, verify demographic and insurance information, and schedule visits. You will collect payments at point of service and ensure accurate MPI matching across BJC systems.

The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, and adherence to HIPAA, MSP, and patient rights regulations, with a focus on accurate records and reimbursement optimization.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• CHAA certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Register patients and schedule appointments within multiple BJC systems, verify insurance, and collect applicable payments.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families, provide preparation instructions for procedures, and explain financial responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare Secondary Payer, HIPAA Privacy Standards, and other federal/state regulations; protect patient rights and consent rules.
• Maintain awareness of safety: role is designated as safety-sensitive and requires constant alertness.
