Job summary

WellSpan Health is hiring for a full-time front desk/patient services role in the Carlisle area. You will represent the system professionally, delivering strong customer service while handling registrations and payments.

The position requires excellent communication, basic medical office knowledge, and the ability to travel between practices as needed. Training on insurance, terminology, and compliance is provided to ensure high-quality patient experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3-6 months front desk or physician office experience required.
• Customer Service and Safety Training within 90 days required.
• Medical terminology training within 180 days required.
• Insurance and Compliance training within 1 year required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to collect accurate financial, biographic, and demographic information.
• Explain financial requirements; collect deposits or deductibles; verify insurance needs.
• Schedule patient appointments and process referrals and pre-authorizations.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and process payments; issue receipts as needed.
• Review pre-arrival messages and balance daily cash and accounts.
