Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service behaviors and strong communication skills.
• Experience as a registration receptionist preferred.
• Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute.
• Knowledge of insurances helpful.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient demographics and insurance information for inpatient, surgical, ER and outpatient services.
• Explain benefits to patient and guarantor; provide out-of-pocket estimates.
• Answer switchboard and route calls; manage disaster procedures.
• Perform daily banking deposits reconciliation and prepare deposits for pickup.
• Assist patients in making payments via welcome devices or personal devices.
