Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Health Administration required.
• Previous experience in patient access or healthcare administration preferred.
• Experience using patient registration and scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients during registration in a courteous and professional manner.
• Enter patient demographic and insurance information into the EHR accurately.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with departments to find convenient times.
• Verify patient contact information and confirm appointment details.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for accurate billing.
• Collaborate with insurance providers and billing teams on issues.
• Provide information about registration, scheduling, financial responsibilities, and payment options.
• Communicate clearly with patients to address questions and concerns.
• Review and verify patient data for accuracy.
• Address discrepancies in access records and resolve with the team.
• Promote a positive experience by minimizing wait times and ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Help patients feel comfortable and informed throughout registration and scheduling.
