• Knowledge of HIPAA, EMTALA and Medicare rules.

• Create initial electronic health records for patient care.
• Check in/register patients; collect demographics and co-pays.
• Explain insurance basics and refer to Financial Advocates as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
• Greet patients and provide exceptional customer service.
• Manage EHR work queues per department process.
