Responsibilities

• Create the initial electronic health record for patient care and ensure no duplicates.
• Check in and register patients; collect demographics, insurance, and payment details.
• Explain insurance basics and discuss financial obligations with patients; refer to Financial Advocates as needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, EMTALA, and other regulatory requirements; obtain signatures when required.
• Schedule appointments and provide clear instructions for tests and procedures.
