Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Patient Access Specialist for an onsite role at Mercy - Fairfield Hospital in Fairfield, OH. You will assist with admissions, verify demographics and insurance, and guide patients through consent and payment processes.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of customer service experience, a high school diploma, and CRCR certification within 6 months. This role emphasizes accuracy, compassion, and efficiency in a fast-paced health-system setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI.
• CRCR certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire (company paid).

Responsibilities

• Assign MRNs and perform medical necessity/compliance checks while collecting insurance information.
• Operate the telephone switchboard to relay calls.
• Pre-register patient accounts and manage demographics, insurance and financial info.
• Explain consent forms and obtain signatures from patient/guarantor.
• Review eligibility and enter benefit data to support POS and billing processes.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and communicate potential Medicare non-payments.
• Distribute and document ABN forms and other patient information.
