EyeSouth Partners in Port Saint Lucie, FL is seeking a Front Desk Associate to ensure a welcoming patient experience and smooth front-office operations. You will check in/out patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and manage calls and scheduling with accuracy and privacy.

The role requires a high school diploma and medical office experience. Nextech/ICP familiarity is preferred, with reliable attendance and strong customer service skills a must.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent years related experience required.
• Nextech/ICP experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1-year medical office experience strongly preferred.
• Strong reliability with good attendance and punctuality.
• Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to route inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients warmly and verifies appointment details.
• Collects necessary documentation including ID and Insurance Cards.
• Books, confirms, and reschedules appointments.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits for visits, procedures, and tests.
• Collects co-payments and outstanding balances; documents in the practice management system.
• Explains billing procedures and handles data entry accurately.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Answers phones, responds to inquiries, and relays messages to staff.
• Maintains a clean, welcoming reception area and supports onboarding of new front desk staff.
• Participates in team meetings and contributes to continuous process improvements.
