Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience in an office setting, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of registration procedures and computer systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with billing systems and third party payers is helpful.
• Medical terminology is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify demographics.
• Create, scan, and route documents or electronic forms.
• Inform patients about documents and capture signatures.
• Establish financial responsibility and assist with arrangements per policies.
• Collect co-payments, pre-payments, and payments on account balances.
• Coordinate referrals, pre-authorization, and scheduling with providers.
• Check patients in/out and operate multi-line phones.
• Assist with recall, queue issues, and basic switchboard duties.
