Job summary

Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is hiring a Patient Access Representative to provide extraordinary customer service to patients at every interaction. As the first point of contact, you will create a welcoming and efficient experience whether on the phone or in clinic.

You will handle registration, scheduling, and related duties such as pre-authorization, coordinating referrals, and managing patient communications while maintaining accuracy and a positive, healing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Post-secondary education helpful.
• One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Medical terminology helpful; customer service skills essential. Six months' customer service experience desired.
• May require BLS for certain locations and/or settings.

Responsibilities

• Register patients, verify demographics, collect payments, and manage the registration queue.
• Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals and pre-authorizations, and operate the switchboard.
• Handle charts, documents, patient communications, telemed coordination, and appointment reminders.
