The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and experience in a medical setting or health insurance environment, plus familiarity with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• One year of experience in a medical practice or health insurance organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior use of EMR systems preferred.
• Travel to other clinics as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
• Effectively handles the patient check-in/check-out process.
• Answers calls about appointment times, patient requests, and inquiries.
• Reviews patient charts for accuracy prior to upcoming appointments.
• Performs scanning and sorting within EMR system.
• Verifies and updates current insurance information.
• Collects patient payments.
