Responsibilities

• The Patient Access Advocate performs registration functions, including updating demographics, insurance verification, collecting payments, and documenting information in an electronic system.
• Provide high-level customer service to patients and families at point of service and assist with wayfinding.
• Greet patients in a friendly, professional manner in person and over the phone.
• Check patients in and out and perform visit closure activities including payment collection.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; collect copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.
• Assist staff with clerical duties and maintain patient files.
• Answer calls, provide information, and direct messages as needed.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming front desk and waiting area.
• Follow HIPAA policies and company procedures.
