Job summary

You will work under close supervision, coordinate with clinicians, monitor schedules, enter charges, and assist patients in accessing resources. Prior front desk/customer service and Epic proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• 6 months of customer service/front desk experience or graduate of a front office/medical office program.
• Bachelor's degree may substitute for experience.
• Proficiency in Epic or willingness to learn during training.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately in EMR and verify insurance coverage.
• Explain billing procedures and anticipated charges to patients.
• Enter patient charges and process payments accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Monitor schedules and determine financial responsibility and payment plans.
• Assist patients in accessing government and community resources.
