The incumbent will work under close supervision, using Epic to register patients, review accounts for financial responsibility, and coordinate with clinicians to ensure timely referrals and appointments.

Qualifications

• Experience: 6 months in a customer service/front desk role or graduate of a front office/medical office program.
• Bachelor's degree may substitute for experience.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Special Skills: professional demeanor, excellent customer service skills, ability to multi-task, critical thinking, demonstrated computer literacy, ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in Epic during the introductory period.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in EMR accurately and verify patient information.
• Explain billing procedures and anticipated charges to patients to reduce confusion.
• Greet patients and families courteously and maintain a welcoming clinic environment.
• Answer questions and address concerns to minimize complaints.
• Collect payments and arrange payment plans as needed.
• Manage patient scheduling and ensure smooth patient flow through the clinic.
